Core Connections Previous Projects

Past projects have delivered. For example in Daventry District, developer opportunities were identified in the Town Centre Vision in 2004 prepared by a team of consultants led by core connections. Investors have started to take up these opportunities, for example Site 4A, on the eastern side of Daventry town centre, worth about £12 million.
The work on Stowmarket masterplan in 2008 is now beginning to result in a take up of development opportunities.
Projects 2006-7
Kent County Property Group - Elizabeth acted as planning advisor to a County Council's Chief Executive's Department for four years, assisting in achieving the client's aspiration to raise funds for new development, and obtain planning consents on its land for sale.
For Kent Highways she instigated feasibility studies for three superdepots, examining salt barns and ecological design and landscape issues, with design inputs from Birds Portsmouth Russum architects.[see illustration above by BPR].
A Flood risk presentation to members of the County Council analysed the impact of levels of flood risk on their own properties and their consequent liability. Data is now available to all property staff on a GIS data base.
Development briefs outlining potential uses, densities, planning policy and expectations for design standards were used as a basis for bids for sale of several county council sites. Two such sites are currently being built by the developers who purchased them: Bovis homes in Ashford and Hilreed Homes in East Malling.
Stowmarket Masterplan July 2007 - March 2010. A full team led by Elizabeth has undertaken environmental assessment, community consultation and master planning as an input to the Mid-Suffolk LDF covering their largest market town, Stowmarket. The consultation has involved exhibitions, forums and workshops, a web-based questionnaire and blog. The work is continuing into 2008 and will feed into an Action Area Local Plan.
