Welcome to Core Connections

Urban Designer in London

Searching for a sophisticated urban designer in London or do you require masterplanning in South East London? Here at Core Connections we offer advice on town planning, master planning and consultations to secure the best environment for your project to thrive.

Core Connections is run by Elizabeth Wrigley, an experienced urban designer and town planner, helping clients turn local visions into realities. Our services include but are by no means limited to Urban Design, Community Design and Flexible Master Planning.

For anyone new to this web site, hello, and welcome. This is summer so naturally we go to parties. However, unusually in Peckham it is not a garden party where the sunset is appreciated with wine and cake, strawberries and cucumber sandwiches, but in a mystery room between platforms on Peckham Station! This station is by the same architect as helped the design of those amazing pumping stations north and south of the Thames. The room, (see photobelow) restored by the efforts of local groups, I assume was originally a waiting room needed when the 1851 Exhibition's glass Hall was relocated to Crystal Palace and a lot of visitors needed to change trains. It is approached from outside the station by another secret - a spiralling cast iron staircase, now waiting to be restored.

East Greenwich Cultrue Corridor - latest

Another secret room was also researched last Friday - the turret to the power station at Greenwich, for which the key is missing! This would be a facinating subject for the new history and mystery trails being prepared for visitors, to encourage them into the eastern wilds beyond Maze Hill rail station.

Ashford

Elwick Road is a site close to the station and the town centre, with the potential to help this corner site in Ashford to be recognised as part of the 'Garden of England' heritage in Kent.
